How did you 'discover' Morecambe and Wise?

A simple thread, and I think it fits into this section.

How did you discover, or first find out about Eric and Ernie? Personally I only just found out about the duo last year and have since watched all of their clips that I could find. Living in Australia we don't get any televised re-runs of their shows and so it was only by happy coincidence that I found out about them while looking up the film clip online for the 'Singing in the rain' song and stumbled upon their brilliant rendition.

It was my dad who first introduced me to Eric and Ernie, as he and his brother grew up watching them. They were always just as popular here in Ireland as they were in Britain, because we've always had the British TV channels. My grandad loved them too (but my nan didn't, for some reason). So whenever any of the Christmas specials have been shown on TV again, I've always watched them with my dad. The two of us just fall about the place laughing. I'm really glad that I've been able to grow up knowing about such great comedy, and that's why I'm such a big Morecambe and Wise fan now.
