I already posted a link to Ernie's appearance on Desert Island Discs. While browsing the BBC radio archive I also found a programme about coal mining in Britain during the war, originally broadcast on BBC Radio 4 in 1969, which Eric contributes to (obviously having been a Bevin Boy during the war). It's really interesting, especially if you like both Eric and World War II history!
